Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of the information furnished on 14.10.2024 the police authorities did not register a case.

The main accusation of the petitioner against the private respondents is particularly with regard to his caste and community.

Learned advocate for the state has submitted a report. Report reflect that Chakdah PS Case No. 1377/2024 dated 01.12.2024 has been registered for investigation under the relevant provisions of the SC & ST (POA) Act, 1989. However, the background of the case reflects that there was a matrimonial discord and earlier Chakdah PS Case No. 340/2024 dated 26.03.2024 was registered for investigation under

section 498A and the police authorities on conclusion of investigation has submitted charge sheet under the relevant provisions of law.

Having considered that police authorities have already taken steps in respect of the accusations made by the petitioner, I am of the view that further interference in the writ petition is unwarranted. Accordingly WPA 315 of 2025 is disposed of.
