The petitioner retired as a primary school teacher on 30th September, 2019 on attaining her normal age of superannuation.

Her grievance is that after her retirement, she did not receive her terminal dues till date.

The petitioner submits that the e-pension form was submitted by her prior to her retirement. The petitioner made a representation before the District Inspector of Schools (P.E.), Paschim Medinipur on 24th August 2021 and alleges that the same has not been considered till date.

As it appears that the representation filed by the petitioner for releasing her retirement dues including

pension is pending consideration at the end of the respondent authorities, no useful purpose will be served by keeping the writ petition pending.

The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by directing the respondent No. 3 being the District Inspector of Schools (P.E.), Paschim Medinipur to consider the representation filed by the petitioner on 24th August, 2021 strictly in accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The said respondent shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

The petitioner is directed to forward a copy of her representation dated 24th August, 2021 to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of this Court.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
