Despite service of notice, the other respondents namely respondent Nos.2 to 5 are not represented. 2.

The petitioner is the son of Late Shyamal Kumar Bera, a driver under the Commanding Officer, 55 Bengal Battalion, National Cadet Crops at Tamluk.

The petitioner's father died on 17th October, 2021. He made an application for compassionate employment on 25th January, 2022 and sent a reminder thereafter on 12th October, 2023.

The respondents have not considered the petitioner's application for compassionate employment. 4.

In these circumstances, the respondent Nos.2A namely the Commanding Officer, 55 Bengal Battalion, National Cadet Crops, Tamluk is directed to consider the petitioner's application and dispose of the same in accordance with law mandatorily and positively within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
