Petitioner by way of a mail dated 26th December, informed Sandeshkhali Police Station in respect of the petitioner himself being physically assaulted and pursuant to that, Sandeshkhali P.S.

Case No.531 of was registered for investigation. However, the anxiety of the petitioner is that the accused persons till date have not been arrested and they by their associates are threatening the petitioner and his family members of dire consequences and, as such, he is unable to enter his residence. Petitioner, therefore, prayed before the Officer-in-Charge, Sandeshkhali P.S. to

arrest the accused persons and/or provide him police protection.

As the information was sent by e-mail, it would be in the interest and according to the provisions of law that the same should be signed by the petitioner within a period of time as prescribed. However, petitioner submits that the petitioner is unable to enter within the jurisdiction of Sandeshkhali Police Station.

Such being the scenario, I direct that the petitioner would go to the office of the SDPO/DSP who is in-charge of Sandeshkhali Police Station. The concerned superior officer would engage an officer of his choice who would allow the petitioner to sign the complaint and the same be sent to the concerned officer who would be responsible for enquiring into the accusations made in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 319 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
