The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the 5th respondent being the Pradhan, Kanaipur Gram Panchayat, has not issued a death certificate of the petitioner's father, one Ranjit Das.

It is submitted that the petitioner's father visited Bangladesh sometime in March 2020 and died thereat on 19th August, 2020. The petitioner holds valid death certificate of his father issued by the local authorities at Bangladesh. Based on which, the petitioner had applied for death certificate, to be issued by the respondent No.5.

Counsel for the respondent No.5 correctly submits that the petitioner has to approach the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh with a proper prayer along with requisite documents based on which the Registrar General of Birth and Death can issue such certificate.

In that view of the matter, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant proceedings. The writ petition is disposed of without any order.

There shall be no order as to costs.
