The petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

The victim recorded her statement under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. where she claimed that the petitioner outraged her modesty. Her narration of events stands corroborated by her brother as also independent witnesses such as neighbours.

Considering the gravity of the offence and involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM(A) 37 of 2024 is dismissed.
