Matter has come up at the instance of the both the parties. Since there has been amicable settlement between the parties to that extent joint compromise application has been filed. 2.

Application being CRAN 1 of 2026 is taken up for hearing. Learned advocate representing both the parties appears before the Court and submits that in view of the amicable settlement arrived between the parties, the contention of the impugned proceeding would be abuse of process of the Court. Revisional application filed on behalf of the petitioner being the husband and in-laws for

quashing of application lodged against them by the opposite party no.2. Joint compromise petition is perused 3.

Mr. Roy, ld. public prosecutor representing the State has not raised objection.

In view of the facts and circumstances and specific averment made therein, this Court is of the view, there is no use to allow the proceeding pending before this Court to continue further. 5.

Hence the instant criminal revisional application stands disposed of. In terms of above, application being CRAN 1 of 2026 is also disposed of.

The proceeding pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Serampore, Hooghly arising out of Serampore Women Police Station Case No.31 of 2025 dated 22nd August, 2025 under Sections 109,115(2), 3(5) and 85 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 stands quashed.

Parties are to act on the server copy of this order downloaded from the official website of the Calcutta High Court. 8.

Criminal Section is directed to supply certified copies of this order to the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
