Mr. Ray, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the daughter of the defacto complainant got married with the petitioner 25 years ago. There is no incriminating material on record and the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the criminal proceedings.

Mr. Bhattacharjee, learned advocate appearing for the State respondent opposes the prayer of the petitioner and submits that a supplementary charge-sheet has already been filed adding Section 302 on 4th January, 2020.

Having heard the learned advocates and upon considering the materials in the case diary, the gravity of the offence and the extent of complicity of the petitioner in the alleged offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the application for bail being CRM No.118 of 2021 is, thus, rejected.
