1. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be kept on record.

2. By filing this Public Interest Litigation the petitioner alleges unauthorised chopping of tries at Mahishadal Block in the district Purba Medinipur.

3. The counsel appearing for the State has rightly pointed out that the representation given does not specify the area and it appears to be a fake representation.

4. Therefore, we dispose of the writ petition by directing the petitioner to give a fresh representation where alleged illegal chopping of trees is taken place and submits the same to the 7th Respondent, namely, the Block Development Officer, Mahishadal. On receipt of the representation, the Block Development Officer shall conduct a personal inspection of the area with the assistance of the Forest department and if he satisfies that chopping of trees has been illegally committed

appropriate steps be taken in accordance with law. This direction be complied with within 8 weeks from the date of receipt of the fresh representation.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
