Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated. He submits that other similarly situated person was granted anticipatory bail by the Court.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the petitioner is the person who provided the names of the beneficiaries of the Bank Accounts of such beneficiaries to the Prodhan. The petitioner is involved in the offences of siphoning of the public money. He submits that the Court also rejected the plea of anticipatory bail in respect of the other co-accused.

Considering the nature of the offence and the complicity of the petitioner therein and considering the fact that there are materials to suggest that the petitioner provided the names of the beneficiaries and their Bank

Accounts in respect of the disbursement of public money, we are of the view that the petitioner does not stand in the same footing as that of the person granted anticipatory bail by the Court. Therefore, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.

CRM (A) 46 of 2022 is dismissed.
