It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is the Chief Head Cashier of Sonapurhat branch of Indian Bank. It is further submitted a sum of Rs.1,30,000/- had been withdrawn by depositors after affixing their LTIs. on receipts. There is no illegal transaction. Accordingly, he prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Internal enquiry was undertaken by the bank. Enquiry report shows petitioner illegally withdrew money through fictitious receipts. Under such circumstances, we are of the opinion custodial interrogation of the petitioner for progress of investigation including recovery of cash is necessary. Hence, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to him. 4.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
