Status report filed by the State be kept with the records. 2.

We see that examination-in-chief of the last prosecution witness is complete. The defence is now cross-examining the last witness.

Therefore, the trial is likely to end very soon. We also cannot say that there has been delay in progress of trial since 31 prosecution witnesses have been examined over the last two and half years during which the petitioner has been in judicial custody. 4.

In view of the prima facie incriminating material against the petitioner, we are not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail, at this stage.

CRM (DB) 117 of 2025 is, thus, dismissed.

However, considering the period of detention of the petitioner, we direct the learned Trial Court to conclude the trial as

soon as possible without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
