For the Respondent Nos. 6 & 8 The petitioners complain that the private respondents and their associates burst into their residence and threatened and abused them and other family members. There was also a demand of Rs.9,00,000/-.
The reason for the conduct of the private respondents is that the petitioner No. 2, who is the headmaster of a school called Rudranagar Debendra Vidyapith (Higher Secondary), had protested against the President of the Managing Committee using the school premises for political work and protests. Photographs are annexed to the writ petition showing the school children being used for a campaign against the headmaster.
The President of the Managing Committee is represented. It is submitted that the petitioner No. 2 is facing disciplinary proceeding for defalcation of money.
Sagar Police Station has filed a report dated 10th January, 2023 which is kept with the record. It appears from the petitioners'
complaint dated 6th October, 2022 that Sagar Police Station has registered FIR No. 03/23 dated 6th January, 2023. The delay in lodging of FIR remains unexplained. The S.P. Sundarban shall enquire into the reasons for delay in registering the FIR No. 03/23. The Officer-in-Charge of Sagar Police Station shall ensure that the school premises or the students are not used for any political campaign or activity or for any protest or vendetta by the Headmaster against the Managing Committee and vice versa. Sagar Police Station shall expedite the investigation into the FIR No. 03/23.
The writ petition is disposed of.
There will be no order as to costs.
