The said report is in connection with Gariahat Police Station Case No. 241 of 2023 dated 17.10.2023 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code read with Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The report encloses a statement and a communication made to the Officer-in-Charge, Gariahat Police Station by the opposite party no.2 viz. Paula Ghose.

Having considered that the parties have amicably settled their disputes and are residing together, I am of the opinion that further continuance of criminal proceedings may jeopardize the changed circumstances.

Accordingly, all further proceedings arising out of Gariahat Police Station Case No. 241 of 2023 dated

17.10.2023 (CGR 3243/2023) pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore are hereby quashed. Consequently the revisional application being CRR 37 of 2024 along with the CRAN 1 of 2024 is allowed. All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
