The petitioner complains of violation of the order dated August 7, 2018 passed in the writ petition. By such order, the Municipality was directed to conclude the proceedings initiated under the provisions of the West Bengal Municipal Act, 1993 read with West Bengal Municipal (Building) Rules, 2007 within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of the order to it. Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that, the Municipality issued a letter dated March 3, 2021 intimating the petitioner of a letter dated February 26, 2021 which contains a direction upon the private respondent to demolish the unauthorised construction.

In such circumstances, no further interference is called for in the contempt jurisdiction.

WPCRC 17(W) of 2020 of 2020 is disposed of

accordingly without any order as to costs.

The rule issued stand discharged.
