The petitioners submit that the private respondents have been restraining the petitioner from entering the petitioners' own property and have been taking recourse to criminal action against the petitioners. The petitioners, accordingly, approached the police authorities, but the police authorities are allegedly sitting tight over the matter.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent authorities files a comprehensive report detailing the steps taken by the police authorities on the complaint of the petitioners.

It appears from the report that there were complaints and counter complaints by both the parties, resulting in proceedings being initiated by the police. As

far as the petitioners' grievance is concerned, first information report was duly registered and subsequently a person was also arrested in that regard. The report sufficiently indicates that the police authorities have been duly taking adequate steps in the matter of the complaint of the petitioner.

As regards the respective rights of the petitioners and the private respondents in respect of the property-inquestion, since a civil suit is admittedly pending between the private parties, there is no scope of going into the merits of such dispute at this stage.

Accordingly, WPA 244 of 2021 is disposed of, without any order as to costs. The report filed in Court today be kept on record. Learned counsel for the private respondents hands over a copy of such report to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
