It is submitted that respondent no. 5 does not meet the criteria for such a connection.

On the other hand, learned counsel for respondent no. 5 has submitted an order dated November 5, 2024, in WPA 17624 of 2024 (Lalchand Sk. vs. WBSEDCL & Ors.), by which a Coordinate Bench of this Court disposed of the writ petition by directing the relevant Station Manager to take steps to effect the connection in favour of respondent no. 5 at the earliest convenient time.

In light of this order, there is no scope for this Bench to issue a contrary direction.

Accordingly, WPA 420 of 2025 is dismissed, with liberty granted to the petitioner to take necessary steps in accordance with the law.
