Report submitted by the State is taken on record. It appears from the report and is also submitted by learned counsels for the parties that the dispute has been amicably settled between the parties and the private opposite party does not intend to proceed with the matter any further.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners undertake not to raise any objection in the event the private opposite party applies for compassionate appointment before the appropriate authority under whom her deceased husband was an employee.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue further shall only be a futile exercise.

ACGR Case No.2838 of 2023 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore, South 24 Parganas be quashed.

The petitioners be set at liberty at once and be discharged from their bail bonds.

The revisional application being CRR 45 of 2024 is disposed of.

CRAN 1 of 2024 is accordingly disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
