1. Affidavit of service filed in court today is taken on record.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has applied for electricity connection under the scheme "Duare Sarkar Apnar Dorkar" and has deposited the requisite fees for the grant of electricity connection.

3. However, the respondent could not give electricity connection due to objection raised by the private respondent no.5.

4. Being aggrieved by the in action of the respondents/W.B.S.E.D.C.L., the petitioner has preferred the present writ petition.

5. Learned counsel for the W.B.S.E.D.C.L. submits that they are ready and willing to grant electricity connection within a period of four weeks provided adequate police protection be granted.

6. In view thereof, the respondent no.4 being the Officer-in-Charge, Sankrail Police Station, Howrah is directed to provide adequate police protection to the officials and staffs of the respondent no.1 while installing electricity connection to the petitioner's premises.

7. With this direction, the present writ petition is disposed of.
