Report submitted by the State be kept with the record. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 25th August, 2023. It has been pointed out that the charge was framed on 11th December, 2023.

Having considered the manner in which there has been progress in the case at the instance of the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Sixth Court, Barasat, 24 Parganas (North), I am of the view that the court is smoothly progressing with the case. It has been informed by way of report that the next dates have been fixed on and from 26th February, 2024 to 28th February, 2024 and three witnesses have been summoned to appear on the dates so fixed. Having considered the time frame within which the charge has been framed and the dates for evidence have been fixed, I direct that it is commensurate the learned trial court would fix at

least a schedule of three dates in each and every 75 days so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment be granted to any of the parties as there is custodial trial. It is reiterated that the trial of the case would proceed in spite of any resolution of the local bar in any form for not participating in the court proceedings. Learned public prosecutor would produce all the materials, documents and exhibits on the date so fixed for examination of the witnesses. All stakeholders would cooperate with the trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 44 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
