Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

The victim in her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure implicates the petitioner in an attempt to rape her.

Her statement stands corroborated by a neighbour who recorded a statement under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The victim was medically examined.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 47 of 2023 is dismissed.
