1. By way of filing this public interest litigation the petitioner alleges that a water tank along with Laxmi Narayan Statute and Netaji Subhas Statute situated at 141/1, Cotton Street, Kolkata-700067 is being demolished and in that place a bathroom and urinal is going to be constructed in that place. In this regard a representation has been sent to the authority and the petitioner alleges that no action has been taken on his representation.

2. We have heard the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

3. This writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no.3 to take note of the grievance of the petitioner and direct one of its officers to cause an inspection of the area and thereafter proceed in accordance with law. This direction be complied with within two weeks from the date of receipt of the server copy of this order.
