The petitioner complains that the private respondent has forcefully, illegally and under threat and coercion made him execute a lease deed in respect of 9 flats in a multi-storied building.

The petitioner is a promoter.

He has complained to the police.

Having heard the learned counsel for the parties, this Court is of the view that the Narkeldanga Police Station has no role to play in the civil dispute between the petitioner and the private respondent.

Appropriate civil remedies may be sought by the petitioner.

The Narkeldanga police shall, however, ensure that there is absolutely no breach of peace in the area.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
