The affidavit of service filed in Court is taken on record.

The petitioner claims that he is similarly situated as that of the petitioners in WPA 3268 of 2015 (Sourav Naskar & Ors. Vs. The State of West Bengal & Ors.).

It appears that a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court decided a bunch of writ petitions on similar facts and passed order on 9th April, 2024 modified on 12th April, 2024.

The Court held that each of the petitioners in the writ petitions shall be entitled to appointment as

successful empanelled candidates in the recruitment process in the year 2009 re-conducted in the year 2012 under Howrah DPSC as directed in the order dated 9th June, 2023. The said order was passed on very special facts and circumstances and was made applicable to the writ petitions filed till 31st March, 2024.

The instant writ petition has been filed in respect of district Howrah on 5th January, 2024 i.e. within the date as specified by the Court.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of in the similar terms as passed by the co-ordinate Bench in the order dated 9th April, 2024 modified by the order dated 12th April, 2024. The respondents are directed to act accordingly.

Writ petition stands disposed of.
