In terms of the order dated 22nd January, 2026, learned Advocate for the State respondents has produced application which was submitted by the petitioner online in connection with selection process for the post of Constable in West Bengal Police, 2024. Copy of online application of the petitioner is taken on record and another copy is made over to learned Advocate representing the petitioner.

On perusal of copy of online application, it appears that the petitioner wrongly described himself as female candidate. It is contended on behalf of the State respondents that there was opportunity to correct online application after submitting the same within a period of seven days but the petitioner did not avail such opportunity.

In view of the mistake occurred in online application submitted by the petitioner for offering his candidature for the post of Constable in West Bengal Police, no relief can be granted.

Hence, the writ petition being No. WPA 464 of 2026 stands dismissed.
