Leave is granted to the learned advocate for the petitioner to correct the matter number in the exception to the report of the Calcutta University.

The petitioner is a 4th Semester student of B.Sc. (Honours) in Chemistry at Bhawanipur Education Society College, a college under the Calcutta University. The petitioner, in the 1st semester examination held in the year 2022, had passed in CEMA-CC-1 ("CC-1" in short) paper by obtaining 15 marks, but failed in the MTMG-GE-1 ("GE-1" in short) paper. On review, the marks of the petitioner in CC-1 paper was reduced to six

(6) and she was declared "Fail" but the marks in the other paper, i.e. GE-1 remained same. The petitioner however took the supplementary examination in both the papers and passed in GE-1 paper.

In the meantime, the University had detected that the reduction of marks of the petitioner in CC-1 paper on review was erroneous and had declared that her earlier score of 15 marks was correctly assessed. In view of such, the University is proposing to publish the 1st semester result of the petitioner with the marks she has secured in the supplementary examination in GE-1 paper and with the marks which she had secured earlier in CC-1 paper.

The petitioner is aggrieved by the said proposal; she is praying that her 1st semester result be published with the marks she has obtained in the supplementary examination in both the papers.

The petitioner since has taken up the supplementary examination, her prayer is justified. The Controller of Examination (Acting), University of Calcutta, the respondent no. 4 herein is directed to take appropriate steps to publish the 1st semester result of the petitioner with the marks she has secured in the said supplementary examination in both the aforementioned papers.

W.P.A. 486 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
