1. Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner be kept with the record.

2. The writ petition is directed against the action of the respondent CESC. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that in view of an electricity connection for the submersible pump of the petitioner wrongful and inflated bills had been raised by the WBSEDCL.

3. By a final order No.10 of 2020, the WBSEDCL had concluded that steps should be taken for cancellation of the energy bill of the unmetered connection for the period 21st March, 2020 to 22nd February, 2021.During the interaction, the father of the petitioner in whose the name the above electricity connection was obtained has also been expired.

4. In such circumstances, the petitioner had by a communication dated 3rd November,

demanded the WBSEDCL to change the electricity connection in the name of the petitioner as well as take steps for correction of the erroneous bills.

5. On behalf of the WBSEDCL, it is submitted that those steps have been taken in respect of the amount and appropriate direction be passed for consideration of the representation dated 3 November, 2025.

6. In view of the above, the Regional Grievance Redressal Officer, PurbaBardhaman is directed to take necessary action in so far as the representation dated 3rd November, 2025 and respond to the same within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order.

7. In consideration the above representation, the Regional Grievance Redressal Officer, PurbaBardhaman is directed to Act strictly in accordance with law and comply with all formalities for change of the electricity connectionand transfer of the same in favour of the petitioner.

8. With the above directions, WPA 533 of 2026 stands disposed of.
