1. Petitioner is the brother-in-law of the victim lady. He contends he had taken the victim to the hospital. He prays for bail.

2. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the bail prayer. He submits husband was absent in the house. Petitioner, brother-in-law and other in-laws had committed murder.

3. We have considered the material on record. Petitioner, brotherin-law and other in-laws were in the house. Victim housewife suffered homicidal death. It is for the accused to explain the circumstances in which the housewife was murdered. Mere fact that she had been taken to hospital is not enough.

4. Under such circumstances and in view of the gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage and prayer for bail is rejected.
