1. The affidavit-of-service as filed today is taken on record.

2. By filing the instant writ petition the writ petitioners have prayed for issuance of appropriate writ against the respondent no. 4 for communicating its decision pursuant to the application as filed by the writ petitioners under Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 a copy of which has been annexed at page nos. 32 to 35 of the instant writ petition.

It is submitted on behalf of the writ petitioners that after filing of the said application under Section 28A of the Act I of 1894 though the respondent no. 4 had taken up the said application for hearing in presence of the writ petitioners but the respondent no. 4 has not communicated its order to the writ petitioners in connection with the said application.

4. In view of such, while disposing the instant writ petition this Court directs the respondent no. 4 i.e.; the Land Acquisition Collector (General), Howrah to take up the hearing of the application under Section 28A of

the Act I of 1894 as submitted by the writ petitioners securing service of notice of the writ petitioners, if not done, in the meantime and thereafter shall pass a reasoned order along with a calculation sheet of the enhance award, if there be any, to the writ petitioners forthwith preferably by mail, if the mail details of the writ petitioners are provided to him at the time of hearing.

5. It is further ordered that the entire exercise as indicated in the foregoing paragraph is to be completed within working days from the date of communication of the server copy of this order.

6. Liberty is given to the learned Advocate-on-Record of the writ petitioners to communicate the server copy of this order to the respondent no. 4/authority.

7. Respondent no. 4 is directed to act on the server copy of this order.

8. With the aforementioned observation, the instant writ petition being WPA 518 of 2025 is disposed of.

9. Urgent Xerox certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
