The petitioner is aggrieved by an order dated 12.10.2020 passed by the Joint Director of ICDS, West Bengal, pursuant to an order dated 11.3.2020 passed by a C0-ordinate Bench of this Court in W. P. No. 2406 (W) 2020.

The order dated 11.3.2020 is clear and explicit and directs the Joint Director to publish the final result of the selection process for the post of Supervisor in Kharagpur-II ICDS Project, Paschim Medinipur.

It appears from the impugned order that the petitioner had applied for the post of Supervisor under the Exempted Category but result has not been published. The Director directed the Member Convenor of the ICDS Project, West Bengal to publish the panel of the persons under the Exempted Category.

It was expected that the Joint Director should have complied with the order of the Coordinate Bench. It further appears that the Joint Director has passed the buck to the Member Convenor.

Be that as it may, the Director of the ICDS shall ensure that the panel for the post of Supervisor in the Exempted Category in Kharagpur-II, Paschim Medinipur be published positively within four days of the receipt of a copy of this order.

This Court notes with anguish the casual manner in which the Joint Director has abdicated his responsibility to comply with the order of the Co-ordinate Bench.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition is disposed of.

No order as to costs.
