1. The West Bengal Regional School Service Commission is represented by Mr. Sunit Kumar Roy, Advocate. It is submitted on behalf of the Commission that the Commission can only recommend but the appointment letter is to be issued by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education was not party in the writ petition.

2. The letter of recommendation dated 9th February, 2024 is taken on record. The said letter is addressed to the President, West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.

3. We dispose of the contempt application with the hope and trust that the President, West Bengal Board of Secondary Education would take immediate steps to formalize the appointment of the petitioner upon compliance of all necessary formalities.

4. We expect that the entire process should be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order by the Chairman, West Bengal Regional School Service Commission and also by the Commissioner of School Education.

5. The contempt application being CPAN 44 of 2024 is, thus, disposed of.

6. However, there shall be no order as to costs.

7. A copy of the recommendation letter is made over to the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner in Court today.
