1. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits he had not been identified by the roommate as one of the miscreants. He prays for bail.

2. Learned Public Prosecutor opposes the bail prayer and submits petitioner and others had kidnapped a Mayanmarese student. Petitioner was arrested from the spot when the student was recovered.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner and others had kidnapped a Mayanmarese student in order to extort money from a Mayanmarese trader. Police raided and recovered the student. Petitioner was arrested at the spot. In view of prima facie materials implicating the petitioner in the

offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
