1. With the consent, finally heard.

2. In this PIL the principal relief of the petitioner is to requisition the present status of investigation with regard to the incident of Gang rape and murder which took place on 30.12.2022 in 5/2 Panchayat, PS. Debra, Paschim Medinipur.

3. Learned Government counsel has produced report dated 10.09.2025 by Officer-in-Charge, Debra Police Station, Paschim Medinipur.

4. Copy whereof is supplied to the other side.

5. As per the said report, the investigation is over and charge-sheet has already been filed. The matter is pending before learned CJM, Paschim Medinipur. The Charge-sheet No.563/2023 dated 24.12.2023 filed under different provisions of the Penal Law.

6. Thus, first relief of the petitioner stands satisfied. So far relief for sending the matter to CBI is concerned, suffice it to say that there is no iota of material before us which shows that the investigation conducted by the State Police was faulty and a fair trial will not be conducted by the concerned court.

7. Thus, nothing remains to be adjudicated in this matter.

8. Accordingly, PIL is disposed of.

9. Report is taken on record.
