Mr. Asit Kr. Chakraborty ....for the petitioners Ms. Madhushri Dutta .....for the respondent No. 3 The petitioners pray for a direction on the respondent Banks to consider and dispose of a representation relating to inclusion of the names of the petitioners as joint depositors in place of their deceased father in the joint savings Bank account with a particular branch of Canara Bank and Citi Bank. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners is willing to delete the name of Citi Bank since it is a private Bank.

The Citi Bank is represented but no one appears for other respondents even though the matter was heard on at least three occasions.

The Canara Bank is not represented despite being served.

WPA 422 of 2023 is disposed of with the direction on Canara Bank being the respondent No. 2 to consider and dispose of the undated representation made by the

petitioners within five weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The representation should be disposed of by way of a reasoned order within the time as directed above and a copy of the reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioners within a week from the date on which such reasoned order is passed.
