Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

There are number of criminal antecedents so far as the petitioner is concerned.

One of the criminal antecedents involves NDPS Act, 1985 and the petitioner is absconding there.

Although, intermediary quantity of narcotic was seized from the co-accused and the police were proceeding against the petitioner which is on the basis of such co-accused, we are of the view that enlarging the petitioner on anticipatory bail will be inimical to the investigation.

The petitioner is absconding in one of the criminal cases. A number of criminal proceedings are pending. In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM(A) 74 of 2024 is dismissed.
