Re : CRAN/1/2024 The petitioner was granted bail by a coordinate Bench by an order dated January 25, 2024, on, inter alia, the condition that he shall remain within the city of Calcutta and shall report to the STF Police Station once every week until further orders.

The petitioner seeks relaxation of the aforesaid two conditions. He says that his mother is very ill and presently undergoing treatment in Chennai. He seeks permission to leave Calcutta and visit Chennai. He also seeks relaxation of the condition requiring him to report to the STF Police Station once every week. He says that he may be permitted to report to the concerned officer once in every month. Learned advocate for the State, to our query, says that there is no adverse report insofar as the petitioner is concerned. Therefore, we see that the petitioner has been complying with the conditions of bail.

In view of the aforesaid, we relax the aforesaid two conditions. The petitioner will be entitled to travel to Chennai. He shall also report to the STF Police Station once every month, instead of once every week. However, he must Signed By :

attend the hearing on each and every day before the learned trial Court.

The order dated January 25, 2024 stands modified to the aforesaid extent. All other conditions mentioned in that order shall remain unaltered.

Criminal Section is directed to supply certified copies of this order to the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
