The present criminal revision has been preferred against a judgment dated 23.12.2021 passed by the learned Chief Judge of City Sessions Court at Calcutta in Criminal Appeal No. 259 of 2019 arising out of the judgment dated 18.06.2019 passed by learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 20th Court at Calcutta, in connection with CN/0110649 of 2016.

By the said judgment (Order ) under revision, the learned Chief Judge, City Sessions Court has been pleased to reject the appellant's application praying for reduction of the amount to be deposited and also in respect of stay order. The learned Chief Judge relying upon Section 148 of the Negotiable Instruments Act rejected the appellant's petition. Hence the present revision.

There is no representation on behalf of either sides.

Accordingly, the present criminal revision being CRR 74 of 2022 is disposed of with the direction that the petitioner shall be at liberty to

raise the issue raised in the present case before the appropriate forum.

The revisonal application being CRR 74 of 2022 stands disposed of.

All applications connected thereto stand disposed of.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

Let a copy of the order be sent to the learned trial Court for compliance.
