Learned Advocate for the petitioner says that the petitioner being the husband of the deceased is in custody for about 120 days. Investigation is complete. Other accused persons have been granted anticipatory bail. As the investigation is complete, he may be enlarged on bail on any condition. He also submits that this is a case of suicide.

Learned State Advocate opposes the bail prayer. She says that there are sufficient incriminating materials against the petitioner since the victim committed suicide within seven months of their marriage. If the petitioner is enlarged on bail the prosecution may suffer.

We have considered the materials on record including the case diary. The case diary shows that the victim was subjected to cruelty at the instance of the petitioner, being the husband of the

victim and further, there are certain other incriminating materials against the petitioner.

In view of such materials on record and in view of the fact that charge is yet to be framed, we are not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail, at this stage.

CRM (DB) 157 of 2025 is, thus, dismissed.
