Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 180 days. The police filed charge-sheet and, therefore, further detention of the petitioner is not required. The petitioner is sought to be implicated on the basis of the statement of the co-accused.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that the death was due to strangulation. The cloth (gamcha) used for the purpose of strangulation was recovered near the dead body on the statement made by the petitioner.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as appearing from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.
