The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of Natagachi Free Primary School, a school under Sonarpur Circle of 24Parganas (South) District Primary School Council. The petitioner is praying transfer to any school nearer to her residence to meet any urgent requirement of her six years old son, who is suffering from brain tumor.

This Court by the order dated January 20, 2025 had directed the Chairman, Paschim Medinipur District Primary School Council, the respondent no.7 herein to file a report indicating the school nearer to the residence of petitioner where she may be recommended for transfer.

In compliance with the said direction, Mr. Ranjan Saha, learned advocate for the Paschim Medinipur District Primary School Council files the report dated January 24, 2025 of the Chairman of the said Council, the respondent no.7 herein; let it be kept with the record.

It appears from the said report that the council has recommended transfer of the petitioner at Keshabpur Primary School under Sadar East Circle of the Paschim Medinipur District Primary School Council.

The respondent no.7 is directed to communicate the said report to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education.

The Board, acting on the said report, shall issue necessary order of transfer in favour of the petitioner expeditiously, preferably within a period of one week from the date of communication of this order.

It is made clear that this order is passed in the facts and circumstances of the present case and shall not be treated as a precedent.

WPA 581 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
