In compliance of the direction passed by the Court, the Municipality has passed orders on 5th October, 2021 and 27th December, 2022.

The petitioners are aggrieved by the same.

The Court sitting in contempt jurisdiction will not be the appropriate forum to adjudicate the validity of the order passed by the Municipality.

It will be open for the petitioners to take appropriate steps before the proper forum in accordance with law, if so advised.

It appears that the Municipality allegedly complied with the order long after the time stipulated by the Court. The action of the Municipality is deprecated. The Municipality ought to have acted within the time limit as specified by the Court.

Nevertheless, since the order has been complied with albeit belatedly, the contempt application stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
