Affidavit of service as filed, be kept on record. 2.

The petitioner seeks renewal of a licence for a foreign liquor off-shop, which had expired sometime in 2013. 3.

A representation was made by the petitioner, pursuant whereto, the concerned authority has also conducted an enquiry. However, the representation has not yet been disposed of.

Mr. Chakraborty appears for the respondent authorities and states that the Deputy Excise Collector, will act in terms of the order dated August 23, 2022 passed by the Additional District Magistrate (G) and Collector of Excise, Jangipur Excise Disitrict and cause an enquiry and submit a report in terms of the order within a period of six weeks from date. 5.

In view of the aforestated submission of Mr.

Chakraborty, the Deputy Excise Collector, Jangipur range, will comply with the directions in the order of the

respondent No.5 within January 3, 2026 and file his report in respect thereof with the respondent No.5.

6. With the aforestated direction, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

8. Since affidavits have not been called for, allegations contained in the petition are deemed to have been denied.
