Mr. Chatterjee, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the criminal proceedings and he is in custody for 315 days. Upon completion of investigation charge sheet has already been filed and as such further detention is not warranted. Mr. Mukherjee, learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the State opposes the petitioner's prayer and draws our attention to the various documents in the case diary.

Having heard the learned advocates and considering the materials in the case diary, the gravity of the offence and the extent of complicity of the petitioner in the alleged offence, we are not inclined to grant bail.

The application for bail being CRM No.248 of 2021 is, accordingly, dismissed.
