Ms. Amrita Chel ....For the Petitioner Mr. Arijit Ganguly, Mr. Sanjib Dan .......For the State Apprehending arrest in connection with Pukhuria P. S. Case No. 205 of 2020 dated 01.07.2020 under sections 498A/302/304B/201 of the Indian Penal Code, the petitioners have filed the present application.

Mr. Mondal, the learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioner no.1 is the mother-inlaw and the petitioner no.2 is the husband of the victim lady. The complaint was lodged about three years after the marriage was solemnized. All the co-accused persons are on bail. Upon completion of investigation, chargesheet has already been filed and as such custodial detention of the petitioners is not necessary.

The learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and draws our attention to the several documents in the case diary.

It appears from the orders annexed that the other coaccused were granted bail after they were in custody for more than 70 days.

In the said conspectus, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail being C.R.M. 249 of 2021 is, thus, dismissed.
