Learned counsel for the alleged contemnor files a photocopy of a receipt indicating that the fine imposed by the order dated July 12, 2024 has been deposited by the contemnor.

Learned counsel further submits that an appeal has been preferred against the order dated July 12, 2024 and it may not be construed that the deposit of the fine tantamounts to waiving the rights of the contemnor in the appeal.

It is further submitted on behalf of the contemnor that a Special Leave Petition has also been

preferred against the parent order of which contempt was alleged, in which notice has been issued.

Learned counsel for the petitioner points out that although notice has been issued in connection with the SLP, no interim order has been passed.

Be that as it may, in view of compliance of the direction to deposit fine, WPCRC 68 of 2024 and WPCRC 69 of 2024 stand discharged.

It is made clear that the deposit of fine by the contemnor shall not tantamount to waiving the rights of the contemnor in either of the appeals, preferred against the order dated July 12, 2024 as well as the parent order from which the contempt arose.
