Petitioner renews his prayer for anticipatory bail. 2.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner has been absconding for a protracted period of time. Proclamation and attachment has been issued. Petitioner contends in the meantime principal accused has been acquitted.

In view of the fact that he had absconded and has been declared as proclaimed offender, we are not inclined to reconsider his prayer for anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
