Kundu ...for the State Apprehending arrest in connection with Santaldih Police station Case No. 35 of 2021 dated 30.05.2021 under Sections 498A/304B/302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/ 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act the petitioner has filed the present application, praying for anticipatory bail. This is a case under Section 498A read with Section 304B of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioner is the sisterin-law of the victim. It is submitted that the husband of the victim is in custody. The mother-in-law was taken in custody and subsequently released on bail. Two other sisters of the

husband have obtained anticipatory bail from the learned court below.

Considering the above fact and also that the incident took place on 19th June, 2020 and till date the police have not arrested the petitioner, her custodial interrogation may not be required. Accordingly, we allow the prayer for anticipatory bail of the present petitioner.

In the event of arrest, the petitioner will be released on bail upon furnishing security of Rs. 10,000/- together with personal release bond of equivalent value to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer.

The petitioner will also abide by the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.

The application for anticipatory bail CRM (A) 137 of 2022 is disposed of.
