The petitioner is aggrieved by the order of cancellation of saw mill licence passed by the Divisional Forest Officer, Purulia Division and Authorised Officer, WBI on 29.07.2024.

Being aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the Conservator of Forests which is pending disposal.

The petitioner prays for a direction upon the respondent authorities not to give any effect to the impugned order of cancellation of saw mill licence and further not to take any coercive step against him. 4.

Upon hearing the parties and upon perusal of the documents placed before this Court, the instant writ

petition is disposed of by directing the Conservator of Forests, South West Circle to consider and dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of four months from the date of communication of this order, if the same has not been disposed of in the meantime.

The instant writ petition stands disposed of. 6.

Urgent certified photostat copy of this order, if applied for, shall be given to the parties as expeditiously as possible on compliance of all necessary formalities.
