The genesis of the case is that the petitioner challenges the authenticity of the documents on the issue that Ram Kinkar Rana is the son of one Jaladhar Rana but deceptively he claimed to be son of Purna Rana and as such obtained all the documents i.e. EPIC Card, Aadhaar Card and other related Government documents to establish his identity.

The inconvenience which is faced by the petitioner is that now with the aid of such document where it reflects that Purna Rana is allegedly the father of Ram Kinkar Rana, the same is being utilized for establishing a right on the property of Purna Rana. As such the actual heirs are loosing their rights, consequently depriving the heirs of Purna Rana.

Having regard to the nature of accusation which has been made the same requires an exhaustive enquiry and investigation and superficially only on checking the authenticity of the documents it is not possible to assess regarding the veracity and/or the foundation on which such documents were prepared by the Electoral Authority or the UIDAI authority.

In view of the aforesaid the petitioner would either approach the appropriate authority with prayers under the relevant provisions of law. In the alternative, if the petitioner has documents in his possession, petitioner will again file a fresh representation with the Deputy Superintendent/SDPO/Additional SP of Police in charge of Joypur Police Station. The concerned Superior Officer will investigate the allegations if he finds that a cognizable offence is made out.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 623 of 2025 is disposed of.
