The learned counsel appearing on behalf of CESC Ltd. submits that the premises in question contain multiple shop rooms, and due to technical constraints, it is not feasible to provide separate electricity connections to each individual unit. However, it is submitted that the petitioner may apply for a block meter in his name, subject to technical feasibility.

In light of the submission made by the counsel for CESC Ltd., the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to CESC Ltd. to consider the petitioner's request for the installation of a block meter in his name, provided the petitioner complies

with all necessary formalities and subject to technical feasibility.

The entire process shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 629 of 2025 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
